He's accused of killing his wife as she slept in their Orland Park home.
Prosecutors say he shot Anita Kustok with a gun he gave her as an anniversary present.
He claims a gunshot woke him up and he found his wife dead.
Police say Kustok waited over an hour before taking his wife to the hospital.
Other women who say they had affairs with Kustok, claim he told them he wanted out of his marriage. They are expected to testify at the trial.
