Hinsdale block watch program seeks participants with outdoor security cameras

If you live in west suburban Hinsdale and have an outdoor surveillance camera, police hope you'll help them solve crimes if necessary.

Residents can join the new "block watch" program by registering their cameras.

If a crime occurs in your neighborhood, police will ask you to check your camera system to see if you've captured a picture that may help the investigation. Police say participation will be confidential.
