Pregnant women who take acetaminophen - most widely known as Tylenol- may be more likely to have children with signs of ADHD according to a new study.

Doctors say acetaminophen may disrupt hormones critical to fetal brain development.

While doctors routinely prescribe Tylenol for pregnant women in pain, researchers say alternatives such as massages and baths may be a better option.

The maker of Tylenol says it has one of the most favorable safety profiles among over-the-counter pain relievers.
