"We want our young people to look at the energy sector, to qualify for these jobs, to seek these jobs out," he said.
Congressman Rush took part in a nationwide discussion Saturday in Chicago on energy jobs for diverse communities. He says they're well-paying jobs that will sustain the American middle class.
Saturday's event was sponsored by Hispanics in Energy and the American Association of Blacks in Energy.
