Alumni game honors coach shot, paralyzed; Marshal-Metro High School's Shawn Harrington vows to walk again

Shawn Harrington was sitting in his car at Augusta and Hamlin a month ago when he was shot.

His daughter was not hurt, but he was left partially paralyzed.

Saturday, a fundraiser was held at Marshal-Metro High School, where he is the basketball coach.

Hundreds packed the gym for an alumni game in his name.

Harrington said the outpouring of support is overwhelming and vows he will walk again.

Twenty-one-year-old Deandre Thompson was charged with attempted murder in the shooting.
