Chicago police say they've located the parents of the 3-year-old. The child is currently in the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services. No charges have been filed.
Someone saw the child crying in the 4900 block of West Adams Street about 5 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan said.
Police took the child to Loretto Hospital, where he was listed in "stable" condition early Sunday, Sullivan said.
Authorities contacted the state Department of Children and Family Services, Sullivan said. The child's parents were found by 11 a.m.
