Chicago Public Library named finalist for the 2014 National Medal for Museum and Library Service

The Chicago Public Library is a finalist for a library awards for those that make a difference in communities and families.

The National Medal for Museum and Library service is in its 20th year of honoring libraries.

Finalists are selected from nationwide nominations of institutions that demonstrate innovated approaches to public service.

The Chicago Public Library was recently ranked the top library system in the United States and ranked third best library in the world.

The winners will be announced this spring.
