Eyewitness News got a unique view of snow removal efforts at O'Hare Airport on Wednesday. The scene played out 31 times this winter as the aviation department broke out the big equipment.

Crews break up the snow, plow the snow, and then haul some of it away to industrial- sized melters at another location.

The aviation department says 225 pieces of equipment and 500 workers are available to be deployed on a moment's notice. These same crews deal with snow in the airport parking lots, too.
