Fundraiser held for teen injured at ski park

March 9, 2014 (ALGONQUIN, Ill.)

Officials say 17-year-old Patrick "P.J." O'Donnell got his arm caught in a roller brush that cleans snow from a conveyer lift.

It happened last Sunday at the Raging Buffalo Snowboard and Ski Park in Algonquin.

It took emergency crews nearly an hour to free the teen.

O'Donnell is recovering from several surgeries.

The Raging Buffalo Ski Patrol donated all profits from their barbeque Sunday and over $2,000 was raised.

Sunday O'Donnell's co-workers sold red ribbons for his family to help offset expenses while he recovers.
