No one was injured during a fire in the village of Newark, which is located in Kendall County.Newark Fire Department officials said a woman and four children were able to safely escape from their burning home around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The fire destroyed part of the large residence, but a separate area of the home had only smoke and water damage.
