Federal agents say Jeremiah Ellis and Ashley Patterson robbed the First Merchants Bank in a "takeover style" in East Chicago, Indiana last Saturday.
The FBI says the suspects shot at police officers on two separate occasions.
The suspects managed to get away when they entered Hammond.
No one was hurt in the robbery and no officers were hit, either.
