April 9, 2014 (SHEBOYGAN, Wis.)

Sixty-five-year-old John Krizenesky, of Elkhart Lake, pleaded guilty to felony injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle during a court appearance Tuesday. The boy who was injured was catching grasshoppers in his grandparents' front yard last July when Krizenesky hit the pole and caused its power lines to sag and shock the child.

Malachi Blanke, of Manitowoc, was taken by helicopter to Children's Hospital in Wauwatosa.

Sheboygan Press Media said prosecutors will recommend 30 days in jail followed by two years of probation. Sentencing is scheduled for April 15.
