Edward Mendelson, 47, appeared in bond court Friday and was charged with two felony counts of child pornography/dissemination and two felony counts of child pornography/possession. He was arrested Thursday following a search of the Schiller Park Fire Department.
During the search, investigators determined the subscriber information for the user of the computer in question that was located at the fire department, according to the release. It was at this time that investigators seized Mendelson's personal laptop computer, which allegedly had "numerous" downloaded video and picture files of children depicted in sexual acts, according to the release.
Mendelson is scheduled to appear in court April 30. His bond has been set at $150,000.
