The Boston Marathon is just over a week away and Saturday morning runners in Chicago honored those who died in last year's bombings.

They took part in a Treadmill Relay and Peace Mile Run.

Several of those involved have ties to the Boston Marathon.

As for the green guys, they paint themselves to symbolize the peace and joy that running brings to a community.

The bombing killed three people, the youngest was 8-year old Martin Richard.
