A group of Chicago Public Schools students headed to Washington, D.C., Wednesday morning for a trip they'll remember for quite some time.

Thirty-seven junior and senior students from 18 CPS high schools are set to tour Howard University with a special tour guide, First Lady Michelle Obama.

They boarded buses bound for the Nation's Capital Wednesday morning.

The trip is part of President Barack Obama's goal for the United States to have the highest proportion of college graduates of any country by the year 2020.

More than 400 cps students have participated in similar trips to visit colleges.
