Dozens of local teens gather to learn about conservation and help clean up Chicago's beaches.

It's all part of the Shedd Aquarium's "Party for the Planet", which kicked off Saturday.

More than 50 teenagers learned from Shedd experts about the importance of the Great Lakes' habitats and conserving them.

The group then spent the early afternoon cleaning up the 12th Street Beach and learning about careers in conservation.
