CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are warning residents of the city's Austin neighborhood about a series of reported burglaries in the area.
There are reports of at least three burglaries in the last three weeks. The thefts all happened within five blocks of each other:
5000-block of West Adams on Nov. 20 between 6 a.m.-4 p.m.
4900-block of West Van Buren on Nov. 30 at 11:30 a.m.
4800-block of West Van Buren between Nov. 24-30
In each case, police say at least one suspect broke into a side bedroom window and entered the home.
In the 4900 Van Buren incident, police said an unknown African American man around 20-years-old was allegedly seen running away from the burglary. He is approximately 5-foot-9 and weighs 165 pounds and has black dreadlocks.
