Man exposed himself to boy, 12, in Austin, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police have issued a community alert for Chicago's Austin neighborhood after they say a man exposed himself to a 12-year-old boy.

The incident happened Wednesday morning in the 700-block of North Leclaire Avenue, police said.

The victim describes the offender as an African American man between 30-40 years old and between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7. He was wearing a dark coat with a red design on the shoulders at the time of the incident.

Police say he also may have a deformed hand and that he walks with a limp.
