Police question man in Diversey Harbor boat squatting

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are questioning a man suspected of breaking into a boat docked at Diversey Harbor and living there for days.

Police say a man was arrested Wednesday morning at a motel on the far North Side.

Investigators allege that the suspect cut off an electronic monitoring bracelet in May and hid from police on this boat.

When the owner returned, he found a mess and documents for a person recently released from jail.

No charges have been filed.
