Streamwood man accused of scalding 5-year-old with hot water

STREAMWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- Brian Magsombol, 29, of Streamwood, is accused of scalding a 5-year-old child with hot water.

The victim was taken to St. Alexius Medical Center with severe burns and transferred to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, where he remains in serious condition from the August 13 scalding, according to the Streamwood Police Department.

Magsombol is charged with two felonies: aggravated battery to a child and aggravated domestic battery. He is due at the Rolling Meadows Courthouse.
