Buffalo Grove hosts community meeting after series of residential break-ins

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- Concern over a series of home burglaries is prompting a meeting later Thursday night in suburban Buffalo Grove.

Police say there have been six residential break-ins this month in the village as well as surrounding communities. All of the burglaries occurred in the late afternoon and early evening hours.

Eight burglaries were reported in Buffalo Grove last spring.

Thursday's community meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Buffalo Grove Fire Station on Half Day Road.
