CHICAGO (WLS) -- Craigslist is one place where many dangerous products that have been recalled are still found online, according to a joint investigation by the ABC7 Eyewitness News I-Team and ABC News.

"With Craigslist, they can't force them. All they can do is ask them," ABC News chief correspondent Brian Ross said.

Online retailers eBay and Amazon have both taken action when it comes to recalled products.

"The law that regulates recalls has very little teeth. They're all voluntary there are no minimum requirements for companies. How much they have to advertise, how much they have to spend to get the word out about recalls, so for the most part Americans are in the dark about these recalls involving millions of unsafe items," Ross said.
