Cab driver robbed in Skokie

SKOKIE, Ill. (WLS) -- A cab driver who was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night in north suburban Skokie, police said.

The driver picked up two passengers in Chicago and brought them to the 3600-block of Dempster in Skokie at about 10 p.m. The passengers then held at gun to the driver's head and demanded money and his cellphone, the cab driver told police.

The passengers then ran away.

Police are investigating.
