Vehicle approaches two children in Wheaton, police say

WHEATON, Ill. (WLS) -- Wheaton police are warning residents of an incident involving reports of a vehicle approaching two children, police said.

The children said they were walking near South President and Elm streets around 3:30 p.m. on May 28 when they were approached by a dark-colored sedan driven by a white female in her late teens. The children told police that the driver allegedly yelled to the children and told them to approach the vehicle.

After a neighbor intervened, police say the vehicle left the area.
