Job: Graphics Coordinator - Part-time, Project-Based

Duration: Approximately 6 Months +

The ABC7 Chicago Design Department has an opportunity for a Graphics Coordinator project hire. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented design professional with project management and organizational skills.

If you're a budding creative with a great foundation in Design and possess a strong technical acumen, this support role is a great match for your skills!

Ideal candidates will be well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite, and possess strong asset management and organizational experience. This position will require a balance of asset wrangling and creative organizational and administrative duties.

Work closely with design leadership to help organize and support design projects.
Perform light administrative duties, schedule meetings and coordinate communication.
Manage, create, and version assets as needed on deadline.
Catalog, organize and maintain asset libraries as part of ongoing function.
Prepare administrative documents, proposals, and presentations as needed.
Required to work flexible hours and days as production assignments and coverage dictates, including occasional weekends, nights and holidays. We are a 24/7 content operation and schedule staff accordingly.

Basic Qualifications:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative suite, primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere required.

Knowledge of creative design, production and post-production processes.
Expertise using collaborative tools for project management and organization.
Experience creating and supporting electronic forms is highly preferred.
Motivated to support multiplatform creative projects, both individually and as part of a collaborative team.
Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Superior typography and layout skills.
Capable of maintaining a solution-based approach in an ever-changing content production environment.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of design, animation, presentation software and asset management systems.
Superior communication skills.

Previous work experience supporting asset-driven, brand-based work.
Familiarity creating and maintaining infographics.
Demonstrated high-level understanding of design and video-related asset filetypes, formats and conversions.
Able to leverage both technological and creative approaches for problem-solving.
Basic knowledge of Ross Xpression and AR/VR process is a plus.

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in graphic design, motion graphics or similar area of focus.
