'Chi-Town Rising' to bring New Year's Eve party to Chicago Riverwalk

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago will have a new way to ring in the New Year when "Chi-Town Rising" debuts this New Year's Eve.

There will be musical acts, a fireworks show and the night will end with a giant star rising up the Hyatt Regency Chicago as the clock strikes midnight.

The outdoor celebration will be centered along the Chicago Riverwalk between Michigan and Columbus avenues.
