CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are warning residents in the Homan Square neighborhood after two people were robbed by armed offenders while sitting in their parked vehicles.

The offenders displayed handguns and demanded money and property, police said. They got away with cash and cell phones.

Both robberies took place in the first week of June in the 3800 block of West Arthington and the 600 block of South Lawndale.

In one of the instances, the offenders fled in a turquoise vehicle, police said. They do not have a good description of the offenders.
