Person in custody after 7-year-old girl stabbed in Woodlawn

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police said a 7-year-old girl was stabbed in the thigh on Saturday afternoon.The domestic-related incident happened at approximately 2:46 p.m. in the 6100 block of South Drexel Avenue in Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood.

The girl was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in stable condition with what police called a "minor puncture wound."

One person is in custody and charges are pending according to authorities.
