PEACEBOOK Festival returns for 2nd year in Chicago
Chicago?s social issue-driven theater company, Collaboraction, is excited to bring their PEACEBOOK Festival back for its second year.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago's social issue-driven theater company, Collaboraction, is excited to bring their PEACEBOOK Festival back for its second year. The lineup features 24 world premiere short pieces for a free festival beginning on August 26, 2017 at the Goodman Theatre. Shows start at 3 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. After the initial event, the show will go on a city-wide tour to Hamilton Park on October 5-7, Kelvyn Park on October 19-21, and La Follette Park on November 2-4. Performances include theater, music, visual art and spoken word, all focused on cultivating peace across Chicago. Each piece is seven minutes or less, and range from solos to large collaborations. In sum, the 24 "chapters" that comprise PEACEBOOK unite over 200 artists, from household names to neighborhood peace activists, all intent on creating real connections with Chicagoans in communities around the city. Anthony Moseley, the Artistic Director for Collaboraction Theatre Company and the cast of #Hashtag Who's Next the Musical joined ABC 7 to preview the upcoming shows.

Park performances are free. Each night features a different musical guest. Before every Saturday show is a free community meal and peace fair with panels, workshops and community organizations from a diverse array of Chicago peacemakers
