The Black Table Luncheon kicked off Black History Month Friday at ABC7.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A celebration of African-American success and mentorship was held at ABC7's studios Friday.

The third-annual Black Table Luncheon was part of our celebration of Black History Month and was co-hosted by BUILD, or Broader Urban Involvement and Leadership Development.

Twenty of Chicago's most prominent African American leaders were paired with 60 African American young people to talk about personal strategies for success and fulfillment.

Participants included Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton, Secretary Of State Jesse White, Chicago Police Department Advisor Robin Robinson and Chicago Sky GM and Coach James Wade.

ABC7's Terrell Brown hosted the event. For more information about BUILD, visit www.buildchicago.org.
