Retired Kenwood Academy music teacher celebrates 90th birthday

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The teacher R-Kelly credits with steering him toward a music career celebrated her 90th birthday Saturday.

Reverend Lena McLin taught music at Kenwood Academy for more than 20 years.

Former students gathered at the DuSable Museum Saturday evening to honor McLin and celebrate her career.

ABC 7's Karen Jordan was the mistress of ceremonies.
