Man, 41, fatally shot in Country Club Hills

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, Ill. (WLS) -- A 41-year-old man was killed Tuesday night in south suburban Country Club Hills, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Country Club Hills police declined comment, but witnesses said a woman was also injured in the shooting which occurred in the 18000-block of Baker Avenue.

"I heard three rapid successions of gun shots," said Jeff Merrion. "Seven or eight to 10 or 11 shots. A couple of dudes come out saying 'He dead, he dead' and then the cops started pulling up."

Police said they plan to release more information Wednesday morning.
