CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Police Department's top brass started de-escalation training on Thursday.

A CPD spokesman said the Chicago's senior command staff spent several hours learning tactics to resolve confrontations without deadly force. The training will expand to eventually include all Chicago officers.
