Normal service resumes on CTA Red Line after mechanical issue at Jackson

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Normal service has resumed on the CTA Red Line after a mechanical issue on a train at the Jackson station in Chicago's Loop Sunday afternoon.

Red Line trains were temporarily rerouted to the elevated tracks between Fullerton and Cermak around 1 p.m.

Normal service resumed via the subway shortly afterward, according to tweets from the transit agency.
