CHICAGO (WLS) -- CTA Red Line trains heading north to Howard were temporarily rerouted to the elevated tracks Wednesday morning after a woman's foot reportedly got stuck between a train and the platform at the Monroe station.
First responders were on the scene around 8:30 a.m. The woman was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for observation. She is expected to be OK.
All northbound trains were diverted to the elevated tracks between Cermak-Chinatown and Fullerton for a short time. Southbound Red Line trains heading to 95th Street are not affected.
Red Line trains resumed normal service with delays around 8:45 a.m.
