CHICAGO (WLS) -- A teenage Cubs fan got the VIP treatment during a visit to Wrigley Field, but the highlight for Victor Ramirez may have been meeting Cubs manager Joe Maddon.
"Oh my God, I got nervous. Like, I always wanted to meet him. I always wanted to," Ramirez said.
Ramirez was an honorary bat kid for Thursday night's game. The team wanted to do something special for the 16-year-old and his family after learning that Ramirez has a rare and aggressive cancer.
He got to meet Maddon and some of the players. Ramirez also went home with a Cubs jersey, signed ball and bat.
