Dan Ryan Expressway reopens after Illinois State Police investigation shuts down inbound lanes

The inbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway from the I-57/Bishop Ford merge to 83rd Street have reopened Thursday after Illinois State Police canvassed the area.

State Police began searching the expressway late Thursday afternoon.

State Police said troopers were canvassing the area as part of an ongoing investigation into a shooting that occurred on Tuesday.
