Body of Arlington Heights man recovered from Wis. lake

DELAVAN, Wis. (WLS) -- The body of a 49-year-old Arlington Heights man was recovered early Thursday from Delavan Lake in Wisconsin, officials said.

Scott Apel was swimming at about 11 p.m. Wednesday from a 21-foot Crestline 2150 sportfish boat. Emergency responders were called to the scene Wednesday night and searched the waters until 3:30 a.m.

They resumed their search early Thursday and located the body at about 38-feet deep.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is investigating.

No foul play is suspected, officials said.
