2 new human cases of West Nile virus reported in DuPage Co.

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Two new human cases of West Nile virus have been reported in DuPage County.

The DuPage County Health Dept. said that the most recent cases involve women in their 40s from Warrenville and Naperville.

So far this summer, three human cases have been reported in DuPage County. All three cases were reported in the last week.

Roughly one in five people who are infected with West Nile will develop symptoms, according to the health department. Those symptoms may include fever, headache, body aches, joint pains, vomiting, diarrhea or rash.
