CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago Public School students who master two or more languages will be recognized with a seal of bilteracy that will appear on their transcripts and may help them get into college.

CPS CEO Barbara Byrd Bennett and Alderman Ray Suarez made the announcement at Kelvyn Park High School Wednesday afternoon.

The plan is to award the seal to students from 20 high schools this school year, and all CPS students in the future.
