Silas Purnell College Expo helps Chicago high school students

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thousands of Chicago high school students attended the Silas Purnell College Expo on Saturday to get more information about applying to college.

The Chesterfield Community Council hosted the 14th annual event, which was held at the Tuley Park Field House on Chicago's South Side.

Students got the opportunity to talk to representatives from historically black colleges and universities. The teens also learned about getting financial aid and standardized tests.
