ADDISON, Ill. (WLS) -- It is never too early to think about your career, and the Technology Center of DuPage (TCD) helps area high school students explore a career interest while preparing them for post-secondary education. This year, the center turns 40, and to mark the occasion, it is inviting the community to an expo to check out what its students can learn. The event features dramatic rescues, 3D printing, game design, a car clinic, culinary demos, free salon services and more.
Dr. Jim Thorne, director of the Technology Center of DuPage, joined us live from Addison during our ABC7 Eyewitness News Saturday Morning show to talk about the expo and the center's programs.
TCD is a Career and Technical Education campus for 24 DuPage and Lyons Township high schools. It offers 21 electives for juniors and seniors.
