CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thirty people won the chance Saturday morning to buy $10 tickets to the hottest musical in town - "Hamilton."

A Hamilton for "Hamilton," if you will, during the show's first-ever live lottery.

Freezing temperatures and rain didn't stop 'Hamilton' fans from lining up outside the PrivateBank Theater with hopes of scoring discounted tickets.

Tickets to the popular musical are normally expensive and hard to find.

But Saturday morning, 30 lucky winners got $10 seats to the sold-out matinee.

"Extremely excited. I mean these are impossible to purchase," said Juan Gonzalez, who was one of the winners.

Even as folks were standing in line, they were hopefully and smiling!

"It's a bargain. Early Christmas present for myself," said Monica Brown.

"We spent our entire summer trotting around listening to it," said Kyra Conroy.

In the end, even the losers did not waste their time as they still heard the cast perform some tunes.
