CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Broadway hit "Aladdin" is slated to open next April at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago.
The performances will kick off the production's national tour of the 1992 Disney film, which features the voice of the late Robin Williams.
Producers said the stage version gives a nostalgic experience in a contemporary manner, including big sets and magical effects.
The next Disney production headed to Broadway is "Frozen."
Disney is the parent company of ABC7 Chicago.
