'Dancing with the Stars' tour comes to NW Indiana

MERRILLVILLE, Ind. (WLS) -- The "Dancing with the Stars" tour came to northwest Indiana as fans lined up in Merrillville for the chance to meet some of the dancers.

Last season's champions Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson talked about what it took to win the Mirror Ball Trophy.

"It is definitely harder than I think most people expect it to be, just simply because you don't have any time," Ribeiro said. "You're literally five, six hours a day every day, seven days a week and it doesn't stop."

"He's the most hard-working guy I know, so I think that's why we made it to the end because of his work ethic," said Carson.

Ribeiro and Carson are performing two shows at the Star Plaza Theatre Saturday night.
