Largest Grateful Dead collection ever to be auctioned
The Grateful Dead are coming alive with an auction happening April 11-12 in Union, Ill. at the Donley Auction House.

UNION, Ill. (WLS) -- The Grateful Dead are coming alive with an auction happening April 11-12 in Union at the Donley Auction House . More than 700 items from the Grateful Dead's private collection are now going to the highest bidder. It's the largest collection of Grateful Dead memorabilia ever assembled. Whether you're a "Dead Head" or a rock 'n' roll collector, you're sure to find something.

The auction features artifacts spanning the entire career of the legendary American band. The collection includes pieces of Jerry Garcia's original artwork, business documents, original Stanley Mouse and Rick Griffin artwork, previously unseen photographs, rare vintage posters, office furniture and more. Items are accessible for all levels of collectors with opening bids ranging from $50 to $500,000.
