Maxwell Street Market holding summer kick-off, Mother's Day celebration

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Maxwell Street Market is hosting its summer kick-off celebration and celebrating Mother's Day on Sunday.

The market, located at 800 S. Des Plaines, is open until 3 p.m. and is hosting Latin-themed programming until 2 p.m. The streets will feature roaming musicians and food stands along with Mexican Loteria and a hands-on Mexican toy-making workshop.

Admission to the celebration is free. Maxwell Street Market is open throughout the year on Sundays from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
