On Wednesday, Amber Sausen, president of Urban Sketchers, and sketch artist Alvin Wong, visited ABC7 to talk about the event.
The final event on Saturday, is free and open to the public. Sketching enthusiasts will gather, sketch and then move to different locations to sketch more.
The International Urban Sketching Symposium is an annual educational event organized by Urban Sketchers (USk), a nonprofit dedicated to fostering the practice of on-location observational sketching. The goal of the symposium is to celebrate and practice the art of on-location sketching in the host city.
Join the sketchers for their "sketch crawl" on Saturday. The group will meet at 2:30 p.m. at The Goodman Center, Roosevelt University, 501 S. Wabash, Chicago. The sketch artists will then move to nearby locations to sketch. The crawl will end at the Logan Monument in South Grant Park at 5 p.m.
