Walt Disney's 116th birthday celebrated at Chicago childhood home

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A special birthday celebration for Walt Disney was held Tuesday evening at his childhood home on Chicago's Northwest Side.

Disney was born on Dec. 5, 1901 in the city's Hermosa neighborhood.

This year is the fifth consecutive year a party has been held at his birthplace home.

The Walt Disney Company, which he founded and bears his name, is the parent company of ABC7 Chicago.
