Evanston unveils new crime-fighting strategy

EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) -- The Evanston Police Department is using new tools to investigate crime and is targeting problem areas with more officers.

There is a new gun suppression task force working to get guns off the streets and the department is deploying a mobile surveillance vehicle to record in key areas.
